Missions
OUR SIGNATURE MINISTRIES
Our Newly adopted mission statement just about says it all: "Our mission is to love and serve Christ and our neighbor." This we do in a variety of ways.
- Our Upper Room program is a residential program for men and women who are recovering alcoholics and narcotic addicts. This program is now over 27 years old and has served hundreds and hundreds of individuals. Ms. Pat Miller is the current Interim Director.
- Our Soup Kitchen has served over 500,000 meals during its 27 years of existence. Meals are served on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Special Thanksgiving and Easter feasts are also served. The Soup Kitchen is open through the year, except for the month of August. Ms. Pat Kyle is the Director.
- In 2005, 750 families were served by our Food Pantry, which is open the every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Food Pantry is now located in the basement.
- We are also involved in supporting the various missions and ministries of the United Methodist Church, especially UMCOR (The United Methodist Committee on Relief), Africa University, Grace Children's Hospital in Haiti, and Habitat for Humanity.
Donations to any ministry are greatly appreciated and may be sent to:
